Dr. Ulrike Pokorski da Cunha works for GTZ (Gesellschaft für technische Zusammenarbeit). GTZ’s work is international cooperation for sustainable development. GTZ is government-owned and supports complex reforms and change processes in developing and transformation countries, mainly on account of the Federal Ministry for Economic cooperation and Development.
Ms Pokorski da Cunha works in the Planning and Development Department, where technical know-how is concentrated. She works with Private Sector Participation and Regulation in Infrastructure within the division Environment and Infrastructure. The focus of her work is mainly on water and sanitation, as well as energy. She has a worldwide perspective, but current German Development projects in the water sector lead to a certain focus on Africa and the Middle East. Ms Pokorski has several years of working experience in Latin America. She holds a PhD in Chemistry.
